In almost every culture the number 7 is special. There are 7 Days of the Week, 7 Notes on the Musical Scale, and 7 Colors in Light.

Inventor Bart Sibrel noticed that Chess and Checkers use an 8 by 8 board, so he wondered, “Why not have a board that is 7 by 7”, hence the Game 7 was born. Additionally, each player has 7 Pieces that move 7 Spaces per turn.

When John Hyams introduced himself to Bart about 7 years ago, Bart and John completed the Rules of the Game and their business GameOf7.com was started.

Seven is a wonderfully original two-player, turn-based strategy game, blazing a new trail beyond chess, checkers, and backgammon.

As most games today are either simplistic “gobble-up” arcade games, “shoot-’em-up” war games, or hours-long fantasy games, Seven is a much-needed and refreshingly original Strategy Game, that not only challenges the intellect, yet also uses that Special Number 7 in an entirely New Way.
